Destination Wedding Guest Itinerary: Free Template and Examples

A guest itinerary answers the questions you will otherwise get by text all weekend: when do I need to be where, what should I wear, and what do I do with my free afternoon? It covers the official events and, just as important, suggestions for the time in between.
What a good guest itinerary includes
- Every official event with start time, address and dress code: welcome drinks, rehearsal dinner if guests are invited, ceremony, reception, after-party, farewell brunch.
- Transport: shuttle pickup times and places, or how long a taxi takes.
- Free time ideas: tours, beaches, restaurants and day trips, ideally a mix for different energy levels and budgets.
- Practical notes: airport, currency, tipping, weather, what to pack.
- Contacts: who to call if something goes wrong.

Day 1: Arrival
- Afternoon: arrive and check in. Suggested easy activity for early arrivals.
- Evening: welcome drinks at [place], [time]. Dress: casual.
Day 2: Wedding day
- Morning: free. A light suggestion such as a short walking tour or a beach.
- Afternoon: shuttle from [hotel] at [time].
- Ceremony at [time], reception to follow. Dress: [dress code].
- Late: shuttle back at [times].
Day 3: The day after
- Late morning: farewell brunch at [place], [time].
- Afternoon: suggested group activity, for example a boat trip or a wine tasting.
Staying longer?
- Two or three day trips and a list of restaurants.

Here is how a relaxed three-day weekend looks for guests staying around Bellagio:
- Friday: guided gardens visit at Villa del Balbianello in the afternoon, welcome dinner on a terrace in Bellagio.
- Saturday: short walking tour of Bellagio in the morning, rest, then the wedding.
- Sunday: a full-day trip on the Bernina Express to St. Moritz for the energetic, or a sunset aperitivo cruise for everyone else.

Tips
- Leave real free time. Guests flew far and want to explore, and you need time to breathe.
- Suggest one activity that works as a group. Friends love booking a boat or cooking class together, and group options are often cheaper per person.
- Give a budget option for every day. Not every guest can afford a private yacht.
- Translate it if your guest list is mixed. A page guests can switch to Spanish, French, Italian or German saves a lot of messages.
- Put it online and in print. Link it from your wedding website and put a QR code in the welcome bags.
