Arriving: Catania (CTA) is about 1 hour by car or bus from Taormina.
- Taormina's center is pedestrian. Park at the Lumbi or Porta Catania garages and walk up.
- A cable car connects the town with the beaches at Mazzarò and Isola Bella.
- Buses run from Catania airport to Taormina several times a day.
- A car or a driver is needed for Etna and wineries. Book drivers early in summer.

- Most guests come in high season (May to June, September to October). Set up a room block or share hotel picks 9 to 12 months ahead, because good rooms go first.
- Keep guests in one or two areas if you can. Shared shuttles and meeting points get much easier.
